You'll learn prevention and intervention strategies that have been proven successful in families, schools, and communities.
METHAMPHETAMINES
"An American Epidemic". This workshop goes deep inside the methamphetamine crisis occuring in the U.S. It covers the history of the drug, the physiological and physical effects, manufacturing issues, related crime statistics, and more.
OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATION ABUSE
You'll learn all about this growing problem - especially in our younger population - and how and why the various over-the-counter medications are being abused alone and in combination with other drugs. You'll also learn how to identify abuse and what you can do about the problem.
GANGS AND GANG-RELATED BEHAVIOR
This session shares the most recent information about gangs operating in the U.S., especially tailored for your area. You'll learn about the addictive adolescent behaviors related to gangs - drugs, violence, and crime. After this session, you'll be able to recognize the signs of potential gang activity in your family, neighborhood, school, and community.
THE ADDICTIVE MODEL OF CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY
A comprehensive workshop that takes you step by step through the phases of chemical dependency. You'll be able to identify the signs and symptoms of chemical dependency, as well as successful intervention and prevention techniques.
BULLYING AND AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR IN CHILDREN
A comprehensive course relating to the problems of bullying.
